– T I M E.
We are now all living in a time-bounded world. Having to wake up everyday at a certain hour, to get to a certain place at this certain hour, to work for a certain range and to get home at a certain time – all scheduled, all planned. Leaving us all having to be cramped up for time.
I used to have all the time in the world, spending it all on miscellaneous dreaming, hobbies, games and fun. My mind would wander far and wide without boundaries. I believed I could do anything, be anything. But that was when I had all the time in the world. Back when I had no work, no responsibilities, no people around me. But at present? I’m too scheduled, no time for anything anymore.
You gotta wonder, what happened? The world seemed to be simple the day before, and its all of a sudden complicated.
If you answer, “Well you grew up, thats’ why!” Then the beginnings of adulthood is off to a bad start.
It shows adults being like robots, scheduled and responsibility bounded.
And I thought adulthood was all about freedom, being free from parental rules. Yet this time, we become bounded by another set of rules, of which we call – responsibilities.
One good side to it though is that now, we can focus more on what is important, what is essential, no more time for stupid things and useless crap. Which is in fact effective and efficient in the real World. But perspectives begin to change, the dreamer becomes a realist. The former “I can do anything and be anything” concept turns into “This is what I gotta do, this is all there is” concept.
We begin to forget the abilities we have, the capabilities, the wide-range of possibilities the world has for us, we become bounded by these limits.
As a child we may have been naive, but having that “childish” mind is what made us idealists and see all the possibilities in store for us.
If growth is the reason, if responsibilities are the limit– dont let this stop you from reaching your ultimate potential. If work, career and obligations has tied you down, then prioritize and time-manage more effectively.
Because the one thing we have in this world –IS TIME. Our time may have been occupied with everyday survival needs and duties, but its in how we spend it and how efficienly we distribute it that counts.
“We we’re given Life so that we may do”
So ladies and gentlemen, regardless of the limitations, use this time wisely. Prioritize.
Use YOUR TIME to the fullness. Before that TIME, runs out.
